We braved the post Christmas crowed of SM North to buy gifts for boyfie (from me). This brave adventure resulted in really tired legs, really achy feet and a splitting headache. At least we did get to buy what we wanted and boyfie is just happy with our loot!
When we got there, what caught my attention was not the shops but the Kangaroo Jack resto situated near one of the entrances of the mall and we decided that’s where we’ll eat dinner before going home.
I really liked the ambiance of the place. It was rugged and I actually wanted to bring home the mask wall decors near our table.
I ordered the Baby Back Ribs in BBQ Sauce
While boyfie ordered the Sizzling Hungarian Sausage
Since I went there with no prior expectations, I was pleasantly surprised that I did enjoy the food I ordered. The baby back itself was tasty and the portion size was just right for me. The meat may not be the “falling off the bone” type but it was tender and the sides (mashed potatoes and veggies) was a perfect complement for it. On the other hand, boyfie found the sizzling hungarian sausage he ordered somewhat lacking in taste. He said that the gravy sauce did not go with the haungarian sausage very well and he would’ve preferred it more if it was honey mustard instead. But then we didn’t think that honey mustard is right for sizzling dishes so he made do with what he had. Besides, it wasn’t really bad, it’s more an issue of a personal preference.
So, would I choose to eat here again? Of course! We did enjoy the meal and we found the food and ambiance to our liking. 😀
