Singapore 2011 Day 2

Okay, here it is… Day 2 of our SG trip. This will contain more pictures compared to any other of our days there since this is when we went to Universal Studios Singapore and walked around Sentosa (up to the beach area).

Early Friday morning we’re up and about by 7AM getting ready to go to Sentosa. *excited* We rode the train to Harbourfront Station. Here’s their train system:

The train station is inside Vivo City so that’s where we eat breakfast:

After which we went outside to walk along the Sentosa Boardwalk:

And after around 20-30mins walk (including all the picture taking in between) we arrived at the Sentosa ticket station:

SGD1 for park entrance and we also bought our Songs of the Sea tickets for SGD10 each:

Resort World Sentosa signage (still along the boardwalk):

First stop is Universal Studios Singapore (USS):

Before going inside, we went to the Hershey’s store right outside Universal Studios:

Being a big chocolate lover… this is near heaven for me! 🙂

And here are the pictures I took inside USS…

Along Hollywood Boulevard:

Along New York:

Battlestar Galactica, Sci-Fi City:

Ancient Egypt structures:

The Lost World:

We ate lunch at Discovery Food Court where every every adult-sized meal is valued at SGD10.50 without drinks:

I ate roasted chicken rice while boyfie had hainanese chicken rice (I got some from him it’s the white meat on the right side of my plate shown above). Dessert is kinda weird for me. First off, it’s hot. In a very hot weather I wonder why they do that at all! It’s Mung Beans (munggo) cooked in hot water with sago. Not my type really.

After lunch we continued along to Far Far Away:

Here’s the house of Shrek:

And lastly, it’s off to Madagascar we go:

At around 3PM, we decided to leave USS even if it still feels like I want to stay longer. Outside we passed by Candylicious:

And a stained glass version of the Merlion:

Afterwards we passed by the Lake of Dreams:

And a replica of the Thinking Man:

Until we finally reached the giant Merlion statue at Sentosa:

After making like tourist (read: picture taking galore) we headed to Imbiah Lookout for some snacks then rode the Skyride and Luge and took some scenic photos:

We rode the bus going to Siloso point and walked the whole strip of Siloso Beach:

Before heading out to Palawan Beach on a tram for sunset at the Southern most point of continental Asia:

We ate dinner at one of the food centers along Palawan Beach:

Before heading back to Beach Station for the 8:40PM Songs of the Sea show:

End of Day 2… More to follow…

Note: Please excuse my photos, these were taken using my phone’s camera only.
