Out and About: First Half of February

It’s the 16th of February and I can’t believe how fast time is flying by! It’s been a pretty busy first half for me…

First off, we finally got to go to Banchetto at Meralco Ave. Been wanting to visit one of their venues and this is the one most convenient for us… plus it’s the original one too!

Here are some of the food stalls there… I didn’t take photos of the ones selling sweets (cake, cookies, brownies, etc) since I was already having sugar overload by then.

These here are some Mexican inspired food. Mini tacos to be exact.

While these assorted kebabs (sausage, pork, chicken) are being sold per stick.

Crispy liempo = Cholesterol on the go… there goes your diet!

Boyfie have always been an isaw (chicken intestines cooked over coal) lover but I get by with just a stick or two. These are not all ours ok, we only got 2 sticks to share and I have to say this is not your regular street isaw. They’re thicker (maybe the chickens are a lot more well feed) and there’s more isaw per stick.

This is called dynamite. It’s mozzarella stuffed green pepper (used for sinigang), wrapped in lumpia wrapper then deep-fried.

And of course no food trip will ever be complete without sweet corn in a cup for me! I sooooo love sweet corn, on a cob, in a cup, it doesn’t matter… I ❤ them all!

Next day we went to the Fort and saw the new fountain area right across ROX. And once again I’m wishing that I have a better camera so I can take better pictures. *sigh*

February 6 – 10 brought with it our guests from the US offices and we had our team dinner at MOA where we watched the sunset and I finally got the chance to ride the MOA eye too.

After that hectic week it’s time to relax and unwind. First time to visit Wensha Antipolo branch. Availed of their eat-all-you-can for our dinner then a foot and body massage afterwards.

New work week, new office floor and work area too! We now reside on the 29th floor of our building, it’s cold and spacious as hell!

Valentine’s was a couple of days ago and, it being our anniversary too, we had dinner at The Old Spaghetti House.

Then he gave me some chocolates too! It’s been five years for us and we’re setting off to a new adventure soon as husband and wife. 🙂

And with that the first half of February has come and gone. We’ll be pretty busy soon with all the wedding preps so we’re treasuring every downtime we come across.
